Hello and welcome to our blog, this is a EAB (Escola Americana de Brasilia). In this blog we will learn together about the culture, religion, and other fun things about Florianópolis and the south of Brasil.
Today we went to the beach. It was fun but by the way it was really, really cold. When we got to the beach, Charlie (our guide) started talking about directions, we learned which way is south and north and were Africa roughly was. He talked about the vegetation in the beach, and we learned that the vegetation of the beach is way more complex that it looks.
You probably noticed that in some beaches the plants are really far away from the sea, that is because the salt from the sea is not good for plants and would kill them and because a really big wave could come to the plants and it would take them away from the sand and drag the to the sea.
